Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless you and your Family.
Each and every Sunday we come together as a family and as a body of believers here at Prestoncrest. The purpose of this email, sent to our entire congregation, is to help us focus on the first day of the week, preparing to gather together to partake of the Lord’s Supper and to praise and worship God.
When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.
Deuteronomy 8:10
We are so very blessed to live in this country and have everything that God has blessed us with. So, during this week of Thanksgiving holiday in which we enjoy lots of wonderful food, football and time with friends and family, make sure that above all else you take time to truly give thanks to the Giver of everything.
Prayer Time
Hebrews 13:17
Prayertime is our opportunity to stand before the throne and lift our prayers to our almighty God. We are a blessed people and as children of God we have the opportunity to seek his continued blessings in our lives and the responsibility to give Him thanks for what He has given us.
Communion
Luke 22:19
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” Thank you God; for the miraculous birth of your son, the amazing example of the life he lived and the eternal salvation that is given to each of us in His death.
Sermon
Ezekiel 8:1-17
When Jesus was asked about the most important commandment, he gave two answers. Both answers focused on relationships, one with God, the other with people. Sunday morning, Bob will look the story of Israel in Ezekiel 8 and how God showed the importance of both relationships. How does that relate to us today? Join us this Sunday to find out.
What a blessing it is to be a part of a family that seeks to love, encourage and worship just as you do. Over the next few days leading up to the time in which we all come together please remember that we are all a part of the body of Christ and that we need one another. Praise God for the opportunity that we all have to worship our almighty God and for the blessings that we receive as his children. Come this Sunday with a desire to not just come to church, but come to truly be the church.
