FOTFD - November 4, 2007
November 4, 2007
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Psalm 95:6,7
Each and every Sunday we come together as a family and as a body of believers here at Prestoncrest. This should be the highlight of our week and yet how much time do we spend in preparing ourselves spiritually. The purpose of this email is to do just as it is named. It is to help us all focus more on the fist day of the week in which we gather to partake of the Lord’s Supper and to praise and worship our God.
Sermon
“When Faith Brings Trouble” (Bob Chisholm)
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
The final sermon in a ten lesson series that explains our Ancient Future Faith.
Special Focus
Baby Blessing
Psalm 127:3-5
God continues to bless this church with the birth if babies. What a wonderful moment to watch as we bring these babies in prayer before the Father and ask for His guidance and protection is raising these precious gifts that he has given.
Prayer Time
James 5:13-18
What will you do with this time during our worship service? Some people stand quietly in personal meditation, still others sing prayers and praises to God and more and more of you are using this time to pray for and with one another. For so many, this is the only time during the week that you have the opportunity to pray with your brothers and sisters in Christ. However you choose to use this time of pray is up to you, we simply want to encourage you to spend it totally and completely devoted to God.
Communion
Luke 22:7-23
Partaking of the Lord’s Supper is without a doubt the most important aspect of our worship. Communion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ deserves our utmost during this honored time.
“Seeing The Unseen”
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
We continue to be in prayer about the future of God’s church here at Prestoncrest. We again ask that everyone within this church family, whether you have been a member for 30 years or 30 days to seek the will of God during this time. God bless you as your remain committed to your pledge to Him and His church. November the 11th is pledge Sunday.
What a blessing it is to be a part of a family that seeks to love, encourage and worship just as you do. Over the next few days leading up to the time in which we all come together please remember that we are all a part of the body of Christ and that we need one another. Praise God for the opportunity that we all have to worship our almighty God and for the blessings that we receive as his children. Come this Sunday with a desire to not just come to church, but come to truly be the church.
Sunday Evening
Take Time To Be Holy (Bob Chisholm & Matt Mazza)
Ephesians 2:21
Please remember that everyone is invited to come back and join us for our Sunday evening worship service. The Sunday evening service will be a spiritually uplifting service focused on scripture, prayer and song. We all need to be reminded about our holy time with God. You won’t want to miss it.
