Prestoncrest is committed to helping in your spiritual walk as you Reach Up to God. One of the best ways we can grow closer to Him is to spend time daily in the Bible. Time in the word draws us near to God as we find out more about God and his will for our lives. We see Jesus and learn to be more like Him as we model His love and actions.
The Internet Ministry is providing in 2008 a daily Bible reading e-mail program that allows you to select a specific Bible reading program that will arrive by e-mail on a daily basis, providing a simple way to stay in the word every day, and deepening your relationship with God. The scriptures for each day will be sent out early in the morning, so that if you spend quiet time with God first thing in the morning, your Bible reading passage will be waiting in your inbox when you arise. It will also be ready and waiting for those who spend their daily time in the Bible during the day or in the evening.
Three different programs vary in the amount of scripture included each day and allow you to select the program that best matches up with you Bible reading goals.
Program 1
will take you through the Bible in one year with:
A daily passage out of the Old Testament
A daily passage out of the New Testament
Program 2
will take you through the Bible in one year and provide daily time in the Gospels and the life of Jesus:
A daily passage out of the Old Testament
A daily passage out of the New Testament
A daily passage out of a Gospel
Program 3
increases your time in the Bible with daily scripture focusing on:
Love of God’s Word (Psalm 119)
Old Testament Passage
Suffering & Love (Job, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs)
Psalm
Proverbs
Gospels
Early Church (Acts)
New Testament Passage
Leadership (1,2 Timothy, Titus)
